Merry Christmas From My Home to Yours

December 19, 2018 by Katie Anderson Leave a Comment

Happy Wednesday Friends! I'm over here scratching my head, trying to figure out how it could already possibly be one week away from Christmas? It seems every year it sneaks up on me faster and faster. I have tried to force myself to slow down and do a little less hustle and a little more intentional this month, which to be honest, has been … [Read more...]

Outdoor Christmas Porch

December 11, 2018 by Katie Anderson Leave a Comment

This has been the start of a strange winter here in Wisconsin. Once we hit October, we kind of skipped right over any sort of fall we had left and went straight into winter. Cold winter. Gray days. Cold winter, gray days, with no snow. (insert frowney face) If it's going to be 19 degrees and bleak outside at least let it be pretty with … [Read more...]

Free Baking Printable & Christmas Cookies

December 4, 2018 by Katie Anderson 2 Comments

Well, it's officially the season for baking! I thought I would kick things off this month with a fun free printable that I created for the baking corner I have in my kitchen. All you need is an 8.5 x 11 frame and this ginger cutie will look great next to your spatulas and mixing bowls. I love putting on a Christmas movie in the living … [Read more...]

The Barn Wood Christmas Box

December 7, 2017 by Katie Anderson Leave a Comment

I have a slight obsession with big red barns - actually, I'm a fan of any ol' barn - but the red ones just sort of hit me right in the soft spot in my heart. I love the feeling you get walking into an old barn, the smell of the old wood, the beauty of the beams above you and the gorgeous light streaming in from all the cracks in the walls. … [Read more...]

I’m Dreaming of a White Kitchen

December 1, 2017 by Katie Anderson 1 Comment

It's finally here! December 1st! That means the "official" countdown to Christmas has begun. While some of you may already have your trees up and the entire house decked out from top to bottom, I'm still playing a little catch up over here. We were gone traveling over Thanksgiving for 6 days, so I'm a bit behind on decking the halls. But I've … [Read more...]

Making a Home for the Holidays

December 14, 2016 by Katie Anderson Leave a Comment

Last weekend I had the opportunity to receive a pretty incredible Christmas gift early. I got to do something that I've literally dreamed of doing for the last 20 years. I got to go back home. Let me explain... When I was nearly 15 we moved from the only house I had ever known - the house I was born in, grew up in and never wanted to leave. It … [Read more...]

A Christmas Carol DIY Artwork

December 12, 2016 by Katie Anderson 1 Comment

Hi friends! Remember me? The blogger who went MIA almost 2 weeks ago? I certainly had not intended on taking such a long hiatus from blogland, but alas, sometimes life happens and time slips away from us. We spent the first weekend in December traveling to visit some out-of-state family, meeting our new sweet baby niece, and driving home 7 hours in … [Read more...]

Merry Christmas!

December 26, 2015 by Katie Anderson Leave a Comment

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NIV Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas! I hope you spent your day celebrating with the ones nearest and dearest to your heart, as I did. … [Read more...]

Finding Joy with an Elf

December 15, 2015 by Katie Anderson 1 Comment

They say that laughter is the best form of medicine when you're feeling low...and I can personally attest to this. After a week that had some unexpected turns and left me feeling a bit down, all it took was one funny little Christmas elf to help get my spirits back up again and experience some Christmasย joy. This year for St. Nick's Day … [Read more...]

Custom Christmas Throw Pillows

December 13, 2015 by Katie Anderson 2 Comments

It's beginning to look a lot like....Christmas? More like springtime! This week has certainly been a strange one in Wisconsin with close to 60 degree temperatures and rainy weather. I felt like bursting out into a chorus of "Snow" from White Christmas to try to help whip up some snowflakes in the air. Unfortunately that did not work. So, the next … [Read more...]

Welcome Friends!

little yellow flower I'm so glad you stopped by! Everything here is inspired by love and a little faith! "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20-21

The unseasonally cold and snowy November we've been having in Wisconsin has me all sorts of confused about what to do about my holiday decor. I'm usually a tried and true "wait until after Thanksgiving " girl when it comes to Christmas decorations, but I might actually break my own rule this year and bring it all out early.
Hey, if you can't beat the weather, join it! Just keep calm and smile on...while enjoying all the pretty Christmas lights! ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ˜Š Have a holly jolly weekend, Friends!
