Being a creatively minded person can be a blessing and a curse. I sometimes have a hard time shutting off my brain when it comes to ideas…and don’t even get me started on Pinterest and the hours of wasted…I mean invested time I’ve spent on there! But here is an awesome message on creativity from one of my favorite devotionals, Jesus Calling, written by Sarah Young: (hint: she writes this as Jesus would be speaking directly to you) “I, the Creator of the Universe, am the most creative Being imaginable. I will not leave you circling in deeply rutted paths. Instead, I will lead you along fresh trails of adventure, revealing to you things you did not know. Stay in communication with Me. Follow my guiding presence.”
Since I have such a love for using my creativity that God has indeed blessed me with, my shop gives me a wonderful opportunity to bless others. I love the art of repurposing items that are “homegrown” with love. Finding something old, forgotten and castaway and breathing new life into it is my specialty. Each item is one of a kind, and many are thrifted/tossed treasures just waiting to be made into a new creation.
