I am a wife and mother who is striving to do the best she can in raising 3 kids,
encouraging a hard-working husband, and living my life for Christ each and every day.
I’m a homegrown country gal, born and raised – our family currently resides in a rural part of Wisconsin – surrounded by some of the prettiest dairyland you’ve ever seen. We dream of owning our own hobby farm…someday…and adding to our love for animals and the quiet country life.
We have one spunky dog that we rescued from a shelter named Annie, a shy calico named Sweet Pea, a lovable guinea pig named Winston, and a whole brood of chickens that we’ve affectionately named Fluffy, Spices, Ruby, Joey & Glumpy. I am well on my way to earning the title of crazy chicken lady, but I love my feathered ladies! You can read more about our adventures in raising backyard chickens here.
Before kids, I worked for a non-profit in Marketing & Communications. These days, I work part time at my children’s school as a librarian. My love for DIY and re-purposing vintage items also keeps me busy, and I have some of my items for sale at a few local shops in the area. (see below for locations)
I enjoy reading a good book, singing praise and worship music, spending time outdoors with my family, drinking tea and eating chocolate! I collect vintage items. I have a slight obsession with home improvement projects & rearranging my furniture, but bottom line – I love creating anything with love and a little faith.
I do feel like many days I am still in the process of finding myself amid all the chaos. It is a challenge to juggle it all, but God constantly reminds me that even a little faith is enough. Thank you for stopping by my blog!
I have always had a love for the written word. As a child, one of my favorite places to go was the library, where I could check out a book and escape into stories.
As I grew up, my love for writing evolved. I have a degree in Mass Communications and have written for many different venues, and published everything from poetry to non-profit newsletters to magazine stories and local newspaper editorials.
But my absolute favorite kind of writing is journaling…telling a story through life’s events. I still have a collection of filled journals from throughout my childhood tucked away in my closet.
I worked for many years in Marketing for a Christian non-profit, so this blog represents an important outlet for me to continue doing something professionally that I love.
And most recently, I have been working on a children’s book that I hope to get published one day soon. I am very passionate about children’s literature and can’t stress enough the importance of spending time reading with your kids.
My Shop Items
Being a creatively minded person can be a blessing and a curse. I sometimes have a hard time shutting off my brain when it comes to ideas…and don’t even get me started on Pinterest and the hours of …
wasted invested time I’ve spent on there! But here is an awesome message on creativity from one of my favorite devotionals, Jesus Calling, written by Sarah Young: (hint: she writes this as Jesus would be speaking directly to you) “I, the Creator of the Universe, am the most creative Being imaginable. I will not leave you circling in deeply rutted paths. Instead, I will lead you along fresh trails of adventure, revealing to you things you did not know. Stay in communication with Me. Follow my guiding presence.”
Since I have such a love for using my creativity, it is a wonderful opportunity to bless others. I love the art of re-purposing items. Finding something old, forgotten and castaway and breathing new life into it is my specialty. Each item is one of a kind, and many are thrifted or tossed away items just waiting to be turned into a new purposeful creation. For those looking for a bit of inspiration in their lives, you can check out what I’ve most recently created at the following shop locations:

I am a child of God and Jesus is my Rock and Savior. God has empowered me to do bigger things than I could ever imagine possible. Some examples of this would be the global mission trips I’ve taken in the past, singing & leading worship at my church and starting up Have a Little Faith. Everyone is called to experience their own unique faith journey in this life. I pray that you would be inspired to find yours! #keepthefaith
He replied, “Because you have so little faith, Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20-21
