Well, it’s officially the season for baking! I thought I would kick things off this month with a fun free printable that I created for the baking corner I have in my kitchen.
All you need is an 8.5 x 11 frame and this ginger cutie will look great next to your spatulas and mixing bowls.
I love putting on a Christmas movie in the living room and baking away to my heart’s content across in the kitchen. It’s nice to add little Christmas touches in the kitchen, especially near the area you spend a lot of time baking. You can download this free printable here.
This last weekend, my parents hosted our family’s annual cookie decorating day. My aunt and my mom both spend an entire day baking over 300 sugar cookie cut outs. Talk about baking rock stars!
They provide all the different colored frosting and everyone else brings their own sprinkles.
All of cousins come, along with my siblings. My kids were in cookie heaven.
As was my sweet little one year old niece, who got to taste test all the sugar cookie goodness.
Thanks to some dedicated cookie artists, I now have quite a good start to my holiday treats!
But that definitely doesn’t mean my baking is over for the season quite yet. Some of my favorite Christmas cookies are chow mein noodle cookies – also known as haystacks – and peanut butter blossoms, both of which are on the baking agenda for next week!

Wish I could be there to join in the festivities:) Having a difficult time getting motivated this year. 🙁

It was definitely a fun morning with everyone there. I understand how at times it’s hard to get into the spirit without feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes it’s ok to not get every little thing marked off the Christmas “to do” list. Sending hugs your way!
