Hi there stranger.
I know, its been a while.
I needed a bit of a break from the constant pull that blogging tends to demand.
Don’t get me wrong, I love sharing snapshots of my life through this little window, but there’s still nothing quite like just living in the moment.
Not having to have your house camera-ready and just enjoying down time doing real life is a beautiful thing.
I highly recommend it.
I’ve still been busy with a few little projects here and there around the house over the last few months.
I’ll be sharing those in the near future and I’m pretty excited to show you what I’ve been working on.
But in the meantime, let’s talk about how AHHH-mazing it is that spring is finally here!
I don’t know about y’all, but this winter has been one of the longest I can remember. The cold, gray days were really starting to feel endless, but thankfully we finally hit a turn for the better about 3 weeks ago. All the snow finally went buh-bye, the robins came back to hunt for worms and the daffodils started peeking up to say hello.
Spring is a season of anticipation. You feel like you’ve waited and waited forever, and just when you can barely take it anymore, things finally change.
I’m so thankful God created 4 seasons of change in our world to look forward to.
Speaking of change, this little entryway in our home really was screaming for a change.
I was tired of how “blah” it had been looking and the solution was really much simpler than I imagined.
I removed the coat tree that had been stuck in the corner for the last 10 years and threw together this cute little DIY bench made from two “roadside find” chairs that had been sitting in my garage, just waiting for the chance to be transformed into something awesome.
Adding some memory foam wrapped in 2 quilted pillow shams from the linen closet upstairs, this little bench is now the perfect spot to sit and kick off your shoes after getting home.
And see that little bunny pillow?
I made it with leftover scraps I had from some crafting projects over the winter.
Yup, I literally whipped it together in about 5 minutes. But it turned out so stinkin’ cute!
Those are the best kinds of projects, you know? The ones that come together on a dime store budget with a little bit of faith.
I’ve got a few more of those kinds of projects to share this month, so please don’t be a stranger like I was for so long!
