It’s still winter here in the Midwest.
Mother Nature doesn’t really seem to be letting up anytime soon, so as much as I would love to start putting out all my spring decorations around the house, we’re not quite there yet.
But you know what all these snow days we’ve been having lately are good for?
Crafting!
Being stuck at home in a blizzard really gives you no choice but to get creative.
On our most recent snow day last week, I worked on a few different little craft projects that I’d like to share with you today.
I made a very simple Pom Pom wreath using a wooden embroidery hoop, some hot glue and an assortment of fluffy pom poms from the local craft store.
The entire project was done for under $10.
I needed a little something fuzzy and wintry to add some texture to the wall in my living room.
This little guy did just the trick.
So cute, soft and cuddly, like a puppy for your mirror!
Speaking of puppies, my oldest is quite the dog lover, so we had some fun playing around with my Cricut on our snow day and designed a puppy sweatshirt for her using heat transfer vinyl.
You can really create so many unique, customized items using this material. I’ve got some other ideas for what I could make with it again.
And who knows? Maybe I’ll get another couple of snow days yet this winter to try them out!
