With Easter right around the corner, I put together a throwback style post for you to enjoy today.
Over the past 5 years of blogging, I have featured many different holiday posts, but here are a few of my most popular Easter & Spring themed posts: (click on any of the links below to take you to original post)
This post features a spring garden craft that is super easy to assemble and create, using only a few Dollar Store items, some grass seed and stones. Watch the grass grow, as you celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on Easter! Fun to do with your kids or a group of friends!
Resurrection Rolls are a simple breakfast roll that I have been making on Easter since my kids were old enough to start to understand why we really celebrate the holiday – hint: it’s not really all about the chocolate bunnies and jelly beans, although those are fun too. Each year my kids look forward to preparing these rolls on Easter morning.
Upcycled Fabric Spring Hoop Art
A few years back, I was inspired to create a pretty, colorful look for over my fireplace mantel, using solid pieces of fabric for my hoop art display. While they no longer hang above the fireplace, I still reuse some of these pieces in my kitchen decor.
Nothing says springtime quite like baby animals. Here’s a throwback from a visit to see some truly adorable ewes – 4 baby lambs that were born at a friend’s local sheep farm. This is also the post where I announced we had just started raising our own backyard chickens – 5 years ago!
When I first saw this idea, it was done with old rusty canning rings, and I was hooked. I love me some rusty junk decor! But I know it’s just not everybody’s thing. So I thought about a way I could make these and have them still be somewhat vintage-y (that’s totally a word, right?) and yet, also pretty and colorful for spring.
From the name it sounds like they should be rather scandalous in nature, but in reality, a naked cake is simply a cake with “stripped down” (pardon the pun!) frosting that still looks and tastes amazing. I made this cake for my husband’s April birthday and it’s also a perfect recipe for Easter!
Well, I hope you found inspiration in this collection of some of my favorite and most popular former blog posts from this time of year. It was fun taking a look back down memory lane and revisiting these. Watch for more of these collection style posts from the best of Have a Little Faith Blog! Happy Easter!
