Hi Friends!
Can you believe it’s been a whole month since our last chat? Time flies when you’re having fun…and when you’re busy with life with 3 kids, a new job, and everything else! Yes, that’s right, you read that right, a new job!
Shortly after my last post, I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful job offered to me to work part time at a local chocolate shop. The hours are perfect for allowing me to still be available for my kids and the work is sweet…literally! Seriously, who wouldn’t want to make chocolate all day long?
In addition to this role, I also got a call from my former employer, a local non-profit, who extended me an offer to start writing for them again on a part time basis. It was totally out of the blue and I was so elated to hear from them. As many of you know, the Y has a near and dear place in my heart, after working for them for nearly 10 years of my previous career.
So needless to say, God is good and life is sweet! I am happy to be moving forward in both of these areas. It was worth the wait to see what God had in store! #keepthefaith
What else have I been up to around the Have a Little Faith house? Well, a lot actually. But in order to move forward, I feel like maybe I need to back up a little bit first.
We are coming up on the 10 year anniversary of when we first built our home. And we’ve been on the fence about how much longer this home will be the best fit for our growing family – no more kids on the way, just little kids turning into bigger kids = bigger space.
Imagine you have a favorite sweatshirt. It’s been your favorite for 10 years and you love it so much. It’s comfortable and familiar and the first one you always grab to put on in your closet.
But then one day, you go to put it on and it’s a little snug. You realize it barely fits over your head and you can’t seem to pull it down over your waist anymore like you could so easily before.
You know it’s probably time to get a larger size, possibly a different style sweatshirt, but you just…can’t…seem…to part.
Well, this is where we’re at with our house.
We’ve been praying for quite some time because we definitely feel conflicted and a little apprehensive about whether or not the timing is right for us to be moving. We are extremely blessed to own our wonderful home and we’ve been grateful for each and every memory spent here. It’s a bittersweet crossroads to be faced with.
So, we will continue to pray and wait on God’s timing.
My husband & I truly believe that when it is right, God will open the doors to a new home.
Note that key word….when.
When the timing is right, we have faith He will move mountains to make it happen.
But for now, that “when” is still not here yet.
We’ve put our heads together and come up with some different strategies – simple, but effective – that will allow us to continue to make this Have a Little Faith house our home for a little while longer.
I look forward to sharing those ideas with you over the next few posts.
Along with some fall decorating, because it’s finally autumn! #justgivemepumpkinspiceeverything
Thanks for reading today, Friends. Blessings on your day & I hope you come back again soon.
