Spring has sprung rather slowly here in Wisconsin these last few weeks. Between the random bouts of snow showers and chilly 30 degree temperatures we were still getting as recent as a few days ago, it really took me by surprise when I looked at the calendar and realized May was coming up so quickly.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I still had all my winter decor up even well into March because of Mother Nature, but I’ve had my spring decor out for a month now and am finally sharing some of it today, just in time for warmer temps which hopefully (fingers crossed) will decide to stick around.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After a long, dreary winter season, I wholeheartedly welcome the lighter and brighter spring color palette to our home. This space especially gets a lot of wonderful sunshine and natural light in the later afternoon hours and it definitely lifts my spirits to enter into a cheerful room.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Plus the pops of pale yellow, pastel pink and jade green are a vintage lover’s dream.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I’ve been on the hunt at some of my local antique spots recently for some vintage flower frogs that I’d like to start collecting. I haven’t had much luck finding the metal ones that I’m after, only the glass ones, so I guess that’s just an excuse to keep visiting the shops and checking again.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To me, springtime is all about new life.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With daffodils popping up, trees finally starting to show their leaves, birds returning to nest, baby bunnies, and longer, warmer days…you can almost feel the earth take a deep breath and sigh.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I’ll admit, I’ve had a hard time with coming here to post lately. For some reason it seems so trivial and pointless to be writing about things I love, home decor, recipes and other fun stuff, when there’s so much pain, suffering and weight bearing down on the people of the world today.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Between innocent blood being shed in wars overseas, to political unrest and the mounting pressures of skyrocketing inflation, the state of life we’re living in can feel overbearing and make us so weary.<\/p>\n

I’m doing my best to know that even though I may feel this way, it’s still OK for me to press ahead with things I enjoy and that bring others inspiration.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I am one person. I can only do my own small part to help those in need around me, whether it be contributing to Ukrainian aid relief efforts, donating to area shelters or local food pantries, or praying diligently for peace.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But maybe, just maybe, my own small efforts will start to create a ripple effect, among friends, family, coworkers and others that may also be feeling the same way and choose to do their own small something to help. Before you know it, all those little ripples can create a huge wave of impact.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And with the newness of spring, there comes with it wonderful anticipation of change ahead. Much like the hope we have as Christians in this fallen world, I pray we all would keep the faith and strive ahead despite the challenges we may face in life.<\/p>\n
