6 Months.<\/p>\n

Six very long months.<\/p>\n

That’s how long its been since I last picked up the mic and tried to speak into this little blog of mine.<\/p>\n

Testing one, two…is this thing still on?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If there’s one thing I’m certain of, it’s that I am a much better person when I am given time to reflect.<\/p>\n

Quiet spaces are my sanctuary.<\/p>\n

And social media – including this blog – do not always allow for that privilege in my life.<\/p>\n

So, these last 6 months have been a quiet time for me to enjoy a reprieve from all the noise. To retreat back into the privacy of my family life – the mundane, but oh so reassuring rhythms and routines of being a wife, a mom, a pretty ordinary person. The person you don’t always hear about here on Have a Little Faith Blog, because let’s face it, ordinary isn’t always all that interesting.<\/p>\n

And while I love to write in this capacity, I tend to gravitate more towards filling my plate with actual paid writing opportunities that I know are a sure thing. I actually do quite a bit of freelance writing work in my time outside this space, and it’s definitely nice to fall back on gigs that pay the bills. Plus, getting to see your work published in black and white print is every writer’s dream fulfilled. Sometimes we just need that reassurance that somebody is out there, actually reading and enjoying what we write. Our work is an extension of who we are, and validation comes through having your work published and read by others.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And, there’s another part of me that will admit, something just didn’t feel right about jumping back into my regular blog posts on home decor, projects, etc. in the midst of a time when many others were at risk of losing their incomes, their homes, their livelihoods.<\/p>\n

In a way, these last 6 months have been my own way of respectfully grieving those losses alongside the many people negatively impacted by the effects of this pandemic.<\/p>\n

But like all grief, there comes a time when you realize it’s time to take a step forward and start moving on with living.<\/p>\n

After all, how can we focus on living a vibrant future that God intends for us when so many of us are stuck in a past we cannot change?<\/p>\n

For these reasons, I’m so thankful God pointed out to me the other day during my quiet time that it was okay to want to start blogging again….and to do it.<\/p>\n

Stepping forward with a fresh perspective, a new outlook on living and sharing it with all of you is what led to this blog’s birth 5 years ago.<\/p>\n

I figured it was time for an updated look as well, so you may have noticed a new logo design was recently added.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I look forward to continuing to share in this space, hopefully on a much more frequent basis.<\/p>\n

Have a Little Faith Blog has been brought back to life! Thanks for giving me the time I’ve needed this year to return renewed and ready to engage once again.<\/p>\n
