<\/a><\/p>\nThis time of year always makes me want to bake. Especially since we’ve had a stretch of cool, rainy days, which have fallen on weekends, we’ve been busy baking at our house. Cookies, pies, muffins, you name it, we’ve baked it!<\/p>\n
Plus I was excited to try out my “new” baking corner that I carved out in my kitchen.<\/p>\n
I moved my stand mixer and a few other items around (musical counters) to allow myself a little more dedicated space to bake this season.<\/p>\n I’m an avid Taste of Home subscriber and I love trying out the featured recipes each month, especially since a lot of them come from local people right here in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n This recipe for Chocolate Chai Snickerdoodle Cookies stopped me in my tracks. How could one cookie possibly combine all my favorite flavors together to create such deliciousness?<\/p>\n I knew I had to try it out for myself and see.<\/p>\n The good news is, they did not disappoint. The bad news is, there are no more cookies left because I ate them all!<\/p>\n You’re also going to love how easy peasy a batch of these are to whip up. Perfect to stack up into treat bags and give out as little gifts at Thanksgiving time. (Hint: if you give them away, you won’t eat them all like I did!)<\/p>\n The dough shapes up nicely and is best to chill for a bit in the fridge before rolling into 1″ balls. I let mine chill for about 20 minutes or so.<\/p>\n Then into a shallow plate of sugar and spice and everything deliciously nice!<\/p>\n It helps to have some little hands that can flatten each ball (we used the bottom of a cup) before popping them in the oven to bake for about 10-11 minutes.<\/p>\n (My son is always jumping at the chance to help me in the kitchen. I am beginning to think I may have a future culinary star in the making.)<\/p>\n These cookies come out smelling divine.
