If you know me, you know I love to throw a good party, especially the kind that involve food, family, friends and good ol’ fashioned fun! I’m assuming some of you will be doing the same over this upcoming holiday weekend as we gear up to celebrate America’s Independence Day.<\/p>\n

\"4th<\/a><\/p>\n

Some of my favorite childhood memories come from the summer parties we had over the 4th of July in our neighborhood. We lived on a great block, where everyone knew everyone and kids spent endless hours outside playing, especially in the summertime. Several families would gear up over the 4th to organize a backyard BBQ, with food and games for the kids. I can remember lots of water balloon toss, 3-legged and wheel-barrel races across the lawn, sparklers, watermelon and s’mores. It was always an event everyone in the neighborhood looked forward to.<\/p>\n

This year we will be traveling out-of-town over the holiday weekend, so unfortunately, I won’t be hosting any of my own parties this time around, but that doesn’t mean I can’t help you get into the spirit! I’ve found 5 really fabulous Fourth of July inspired items that I think you’ll love as much as I do…if I were throwing my own party I’d snag these up in a heartbeat of America!<\/p>\n
